3-D Animation - Making it Look Real
3-D animation simulates realistic depth and movement1 of objects in a 3-dimensional space - the trick is to make it look 'believable' on the '2-D' screen. Presenting ideas in 3-D brings us quite a bit closer to feeling a part of the environment as opposed to viewing simple text or 2-D pictures on the screen. Athough we have several options for delivery, when you want a truly immersive experience, Flash just won't do - check out Mouse Man on Anark.
1. Actually, since movement operates in a fourth dimension 'time', '3-D animation' is often refered to as '4-D' :)
